Hello Jim & Janet -- just wanted to drop a line to let you know that I got my Gibson Mod. 27 Deluxe Custom Dobro on March 1, 2005 as projected. I opened the case on the living room floor & it just looked like a pretty red guitar, but when I got it out of the case & carried it over to the natural light of the window -- it was like looking down through a quarter inch of red wine tinted glass at a burly tapestry -- very pretty & very unique. and I like the tonal qualities. I want to thank both of you for all of your help with the purchase of this guitar & my recent purchase of the Gallagher Doc Watson Signature, & for all of the little extra goodies that you stuffed in the case. I also wanted to point out that the book " Understanding How To Build Guitar Chords & Arpeggios " (B-98287b ) which I ordered from you is very good -- if I would have had this earlier on, it would have saved me $1,500.00 that I spent on other books in search of this content. In case you're interested, a couple of good compliments to this book are " Fretboard Logic ", " Guitar Fretboard Workbook ", & " Fretboard Theory & Technique " ( which would themselves have been much easier to understand if I would have had B-98287b prior to working on them ).
