BTW ~ Recently received Janet Davis' "Back-up Banjo" with DVD and CDs. The course is great, but the best bonus was the wonderful music played on the CD's. Wow! That band is fan-tas-tic! The singing was so lovely on "All the Good Times are Past and Gone".
So the question is..........when is Janet going to come out with an album with that bunch of musicians and singer?

Thanks for your help over the years. Your back up book is a must-have for everyone who plays banjo. I don't know that I've seen any more knowledge of banjo playing under one skull cap! Jim M
Your book is great. I think playing back-up music is more fun that
playing the leads. Your back-up tabs are really very pretty. Thanks for

I am writting from Spain. Years ago, I bought your 'Backup Banjo' book and
tape in Cambridge (UK), it is marvellous and very valuable for me. I am
self-taught and I have to get any 'bluegrass' stuff via mail, internet or
trips. Here in Spain it is a little difficult...

...I also have J. Davis "backup banjo book" with at least 500,000 miles
on it. Tape eaten by my 69 Impala years ago. Best book on banjo I
