Thank you for the Banjo it arrived safe to Australia from America . It is a great banjo I love it. I have always wanted one of these Deerings. I have been playing banjo for 20 years and my other banjo is a Windser Premier, very old. This banjo is good quality.

Got my Deering Sierra today, happened to be off work and played with it all day!
Action and set up are perfect for me and it sounds great-the sustain on slides is so much better than I am used to.

I have been playing the Deering Hartford for two weeks now and I have been pleasantly surprised at the volume it has without a metal tonering. If I had known that John's sound was from his tonering I would have bought it a long time ago since I was always trying to find the sound he played. I am glad I got it and it will be my last acoustic banjo. And the weight is just perfect, I was surprised how light it is compared to Stelling.

Hi Janet, I received the banjo this morning and have just now stopped playing it. I can't get over how nice the banjo sounds. Like I told you in our conversations, I've played one of the Golden Wreaths' before and really was impressed with how it sounded. This banjo really is a good banjo. Its a cannon yet I can get the tone out of it that I like, its got that mahagony warmth and the crack when you want it. I thank you once again for another great banjo. I don't know why the Deerings aren't more popular. I've always liked them. The next one I would like to put into the collection is a Calico. I just can't decide on blonde or the honey stain. I am leaning towards honey stain. Anyway, thanks again Janet.

Jim Davis, re: Deering GDL Setup... Oh my gosh, everything is perfect. I received it today in excellent condition. Some minor tunning and I was off and playing. Can't seem to put it down. Looks great, sounds great I just love it. Can't talk long "its looking at me" and wants to be held. This was possible only because of your help. Thank you over and over again. Received the Deering Calico banjo last month and it is beautiful! Thanks for setting it up so nicely, the sound is outstanding; that Hartford tonering really has a mello woodsy ring to it along with more sustain. The Calton case is very stout, and in fact took about a week to break in as the latches were really tight.
