The Granada models offer two different options for the fingerboard inlay patterns: 1.) the Flying Eagle pattern and 2.)the Granada Hearts & Flowers pattern. Additionally, you have a choice between the standard Granada 1930's reissue with the traditional shiny/satin 24k gold plated components and the new 2005 Vintage Granada, which has copper flashed, gold plated components, which are hand rubbed to a dark satin finish for a very vintage appearance & sound.

*The Gibson Style 5 New Century Model
The Style 5 is an exact reproduction of the 1930's Style 5 Gibson 5-string banjo which boasts of beauty and a tone quality that defines the vintage Gibson sound sought after by so many players today. This limited production model is also one of the most unique banjos in the Gibson line. The basic woods are walnut neck & resonator with a rosewood fingerboard inlaid with the identifiable "Style 5 Wreath" pattern in genuine mother of pear. The metal components are all carefully hand engraved with the identifiable "Style 5" engraving pattern. All metal components are plated with 24 karat gold. With the same 1930's reproduction bell brass tone ring and 3-ply hard rock maple rim at the heart of the professional Gibson banjos, the Style 5 is the only model to also include a 24karat gold plated, hand engraved two piece tube & plate flange. The neck is of a high grade of walnut and has a colorful wooden plate hand inlaid in the back of the peghead, also unique to the style 5. The highly figured burled walnut resonator also contains concentric rings in the back with a marquetry of tiny pieces of inlaid wood. Pearloid binding edges the resonator, neck.

Those who already know that a banjo gets better with age should love the sound of the style 5 right from the start. Much like the older vintage models of the 1930's, the Style 5 is full and rich with power to spare. There is also a sweetness to the overall ring from this banjo, especially when playing up the neck. The Style 5 has a "sound" that seems to come from the inside out, and it keeps on giving.
