The new This carved F-Style mandolin is solid wood. The top is solid spruce and the back, sides and neck are solid maple. The fingerboard is rosewood with a "scalloped" extension to reduce pick noise. The top, back, fingerboard and peghead are bound and the Rover inlay on the peghead is abalone.
