Wildwood Banjo

Each open back model includes the "Tubaphone" style tone ring, a slightly wider figured maple neck than standard bluegrass banjos, ebony fingerboard, peghead and heel cap. Nickel-plated brass hardware and fiberskin heads are also standard. The extent of the fancy fiddleback maple and mother of pearl or abalone inlays increases with each model. It is important to note that the basic construction, sound, and playability are the same throughout.

There are four different open back models to choose from: The Minstrel & Troubador include the same components, with different cosmetics. The Heirloom and Balladeer include the brass bracket band (1/8" by 1"), which enhances the warmth of the tonal quality.

(For those of you who appreciate the folk style banjos of the 1950’s and early 1960’s, a Long Neck version is available for all standard open back models except the Balladeer.)
